Aziano Chianti Classico 75cl (2018) RUFFINO

The Chianti Classico grape-growing region that is home to the Aziano is a small and scenic part of Tuscany stretching from south of Florence to the north of Siena. Without a doubt, this region represents Tuscany’s literal, historical and figurative heart. The history of winemaking is particularly ancient here with the earliest link dating back to 1398. This Chianti Classico bursts with ripe fruit flavours followed by notes of plum and Morello cherries. The tannins are well integrated, and the long finish reveals hints of rosemary and tobacco. A versatile wine, the Aziano is best served with roast veal or grilled chicken, pasta with tomato-based sauces, and semi-mature cheeses.
