This red from Terre De La Custodia is obtained from selected grapes of Sangiovese, Merlot and Sagrantino. The experience in retrieving the maximum flavours from these red varieties has resulted in the creation of a structured young wine, that is soft and elegant with versatile class and a variety of unique aromas and fragrances. During production, the wine is aged in oak barrels for 6-8 months and then spends a further 6 months in the bottle. Ruby red in colour with persistent perfumes of very ripe fruit, currants and prunes, greatly intense and complex. It is full-bodied, yet soft and velvety - a wine of great finesse that can be stored for a further 3-4 years. Best served with grilled meats and game, or with mature cheeses.
