One of Italy's most prestigious and continuously awarded rosé wines, produced entirely from local red grape varietals. The vines, over 25 years old, are trained using the double Guyot system. Each grape is individually pressed, with 50% fermenting and aging in small oak barrels for at least 6 months. The 2023 growing season saw cool temperatures and heavy rains in spring, followed by a hot August, resulting in a slightly delayed but fruitful harvest. The colour is a perfectly pale candy pink, typical of a delicate wine, and the nose is inviting and ample with hints of mayflower, black cherry, and pomegranate. Silky and balanced yet broad and rich, with excellent persistence and flavour, leaving a light aftertaste of bitter almond. Ideal as an aperitif, Rosamara enhances raw white fish, seafood, and Mediterranean salads. Chef Sergio Mei recommends pairing it with steamed prawns and peach salad. Rosamara even has an ageing potential of up to 4 years!
