Another victory for Mastri Birrai Umbri at the distinguished International Beer Competition 2020, held in New York. This year they were awarded GOLD for their Cotta 21 Blonde Ale as well as a bronze medal for their Cotta 68 Amber Ale, both judged within category and market price amongst a healthy competition of more than 600 labels from 14 countries across 30 beer categories.

Marco Farchioni, manager of Mastri Birrai Umbri, was extremely proud and honoured to see the qualitative progress made within the Italian craft beer segment, in particular of those from the Umbria region.

The logo has become synonymous with the highest quality and is recognised the world-over.

Having worked with Alivini for over 10 years to supply the UK market with the family’s olive oils, wines and beers, the Farchioni brands are considered exclusive and the requests for their high quality products continue to grow. Today, Alivini’s offerings include at least 10 olive oils and condiments, 5 wines and 5 styles of their beautiful artisan craft beers, each and every item hand-selected by our management as best suits the market.

Mastri Birrai Umbri use mainly Italian raw materials, respecting artisan methodology and processes, creating some of the best unfiltered, unpasteurised, bottle-fermented beers to come out of Italy – it’s no wonder that the Cotta 21 Blonde was even regarded as Italy’s best craft blonde ale!
