Domini Veneti's best known product that truly expresses the company's philosophy, shown through the wine’s balance between elegance and structure. This Amarone is made from grapes grown in the Valpolicella Classico area (Corvina, Corvinone and Rondinella), which undergo the typical production method of "appassimento in fruttaio" (withering in fruit) before ageing in large oak barrels for a minimum of 18 months, followed by a further 6-8 months in the bottle. The result is a wine with a dense garnet red and compact colour, and a bouquet that is strong and persistent, ethereal and fruity with hints of black cherries and dry prunes. The palate is well-structured and smooth with velvety tannins, making this Amarone a fine companion for all grilled or braised red meats, and game dishes, or even with mature cheeses. Excellent, however, simply for those post-dinner conversations.
