Nastagio (also known as Nastasio) is the name of an ancient farm house of the “Fattoria di Sant’Angelo". The Brunello Nastagio is the result of the long experience accumulated in the development and management of the Sangiovese vineyard, together with research conducted over more than twenty years in partnership with the University of Florence. Ageing in Tonneaux oak barrels and then in the traditional large “botti” represents a meeting point between tradition and modern times, preserving the wine's essential aspect of longevity. Ruby red with violet hues, and its bouquet is fruity, with hints of ripe cherry combined with the oak toasted aromas of spices emanated from the barrels during the first years of ageing. Perfectly balanced with very good structure, full and persistent. Soft and ripe tannins, with a long, pleasant and sapid aftertaste.
