‘Praecipuus’ Riesling Renano I.G.T. 75cl (2021) AZIENDA AGRICOLA ROENO

"PRAECIPUUS" - the Latin word for 'excellent' or 'extraordinary' and was the name given to this wine born from an ambitious project by Roeno. This example of Rhine Riesling is unique, harmonious and elegant, thanks primarily to the use of quality yeasts as selected by the Institute Geisenheim for Riesling. Only the best bunches are hand-picked from vines growing at an altitude of 640m, gently pressed and sent for short maceration and cooling (to lock in all that freshness and aroma). Initial fermentation occurs in stainless steel before the introduction of the select yeasts, after which the wine ferments for a further 20 days at controlled temperatures. The resulting wine is straw-yellow with typical notes of peach. In the mouth it is perfectly balanced between acidity and minerality combined with softness.
