Riesling Trevenezie I.G.T. ‘Collezione Di Famiglia’ 75cl (2018) AZIENDA AGRICOLA ROENO

This wine is the ultimate tribute to an extraordinary and noble varietal, to which Roeno is deeply attached: a selection of the selected few, limited quantity partnered with bottle ageing - raising the level of quality in order to produce a unique Riesling that honours all of the varietal's potential. Only the best bunches are hand-picked from isolated vines growing in Roeno's dedicated vineyards, gently pressed and sent for short maceration and cooling (to lock in all that freshness and aroma). Initial fermentation occurs in stainless steel before the introduction of the select yeasts, after which the wine ferments for a further 25 days at controlled temperatures. Finally, the wine is transferred to large wooden barrels where it ages for 18 months, followed by bottle refinement for a further 36 months before release. The resulting wine is a perfectly recognizable Rielsing, with prevailing notes of peach and great balance between acidity and minerality, combined with a softness due to a residual sweetness.
