Roero Riserva Valmaggiore D.O.C.G. 75cl (2019) DEMARIE

Roero, a small paradise of sandy dunes adorned with green vineyards, produces a rare and elegant wine from pure Nebbiolo grapes. The area of 'Valmaggiore' within the Roero hills is distinguished by its steep, almost mountainous terrain and sandy, mineral-rich soil. This unique combination, coupled with south-eastern exposure, imparts a truly distinctive character to the wine. The wine features a grainy red colour with brilliant ruby reflections. It is rich and intense, with hints of violet, raspberries, and blackberries, complemented by elegant touches of spice. On the palate, violet and red fruits dominate, with undertones of licorice and cocoa. The wine is warm and dry, with pronounced tannins and a persistent finish. Serve at a temperature of 18°C. It pairs excellently with red meats, wild game, and hard cheeses. Best enjoyed eight years after the harvest.
