Murgiano Affumicato is a premium fresh pasta filata cheese crafted in Puglia from pasteurised cow’s milk and naturally smoked with beech wood chips. This artisanal cheese features a smooth, compact white paste without eyes, offering a fresh, delicate flavour. Its vacuum-sealed packaging ensures optimal freshness, making it a versatile choice for both culinary professionals and cheese enthusiasts.
Perfect for melting, slicing, or enjoying as part of an antipasto platter, Murgiano Affumicato adds depth and a smoky aroma to a variety of dishes.
Storage: Keep refrigerated at max +4°C. Once opened, consume within 2 days.
Shelf Life: 60 days. Residual at shipment: Min. 30 days. Scamorza is a semi-soft white cheese with a texture comparable to that of a firm, dry Mozzarella, and is made throughout Puglia and in some parts of Campania and Molise. The texture is elastic, stringy and has less moisture than Mozzarella, with a slightly piquant, milky and creamy taste. Use it as a substitute for Mozzarella to impart more interest in your recipe, however it is best known to flavour baked dishes, for griddling or topped with prosciutto.
