Perno Barolo D.O.C.G. ‘Vigna Cappella Di S.Stefano’ 75cl (2012) ROCCHE DEI MANZONI

The Barolo Perno "Vigna Cappella S.Stefano" was born in the historic cru of the winery and fully represents the spirit and elegance of the land, using only increasingly organic/biodynamic hand-selected 100% Nebbiolo da Barolo (found in only eleven communes that comprise the Barolo DOCG) grown in their Vigna Cappella S.Stefano vineyard. Once vinified and fermented the wine is transferred to small oak barrels where it refines for 36 months, plus a further 12 months in bottle. It has a dense ruby red colour, presenting a bouquet of incredible intensity and richness while, on the palate, it is powerful, broad and soft with great tannnins and character plus a long fruity persistence. Perfect throughout its development, it is best suited to game and red meat dishes. You can expect a minimum life of at least 30 years if stored correctly.
