A classic Bolgheri blend of Cabernet Sauvignon with a small part of Merlot. First introduced to the Bolgheri region mid-twentieth century, these varieties have suitably adapted to the climate of the Tuscan coast to produce high quality, elegant red wines. The name Rute derives from Etruscan language, meaning "Red", and is dedicated to the Etruscans being the first population to cultivate grape vines in Italy. A wine os prestige and elegance, recalling sweet perfumes of redcurrants, raspeberries and gooseberries. Intense and smooth with a good balance and long finish. Pairs beautifully with cold cuts, pasta with meaty sauces, and meat dishes. This wine will age superbly in the bottle if stored correctly.
