The name of this renowned wine is derived from Swabian or Suave, one of the races who attempted the conquest of Italy in medieval times; others believe the name Soave was given to the city by the divine poet Dante for the quality of its wine. The result is a white wine of great pleasantness, also thanks to a volcanic soil that gives it just a hint of minerality.
