In the middle ages, castles typically had woods nearby for nobility to hunt and frolic in, known as a “Tapada.” The grapes used to produce this white are carefully selected from the vineyards located on the Perdigões Mount, which are crushed and fermented “off skin” in stainless steel vats and partially in wooden barrels - the latter giving the wine its volume and unctuousness.
